Acceleration in the pivotal period
The period 2025-2030 is considered an important “hinge” in the energy sector development strategy. The world is strongly transforming towards energy transition, green economy, circular economy and digital transformation. Geopolitical fluctuations, supply chain disruptions and technological changes are both challenges and opening up new development space.
In that context, PVMR aims for stable and sustainable development; expanding services. maintenance - repair (BDSC) outside the oil and gas sector; at the same time, improving technological capacity, increasing competitiveness, not only in the domestic market but also reaching out to the region.
If in the past, PVMR was almost entirely associated with oil and gas projects, now the new strategy expands to the processing industry, electricity, chemicals, and renewable energy - fields that are developing strongly.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Tri - Party Secretary, Chairman of PVMR Board of Directors, by 2030, PVMR will self-perform 60% of periodic and regular maintenance volume for factories and projects in the industry, while simultaneously capturing market share in industrial parks and key economic zones. To realize this goal, PVMR invests in building service bases in strategic economic zones, cooperates with international manufacturers, technology companies and contractors to update advanced techniques, standardize service quality according to international standards.

Improving efficiency from technology to management
With PVMR, improving efficiency is not just a management problem, but a synchronous journey on 3 pillars: technology - organization - people.
In terms of technology, PVMR promotes research, application and transfer of solutions for sustainable development, with the goal of mastering a core technology for widespread deployment throughout the system, paving the way for specialized technical products and services.
A clear demonstration of that spirit of innovation is oil tank cleaning robot – the first device in Vietnam that can operate in a closed tank without humans directly entering it. This technology significantly shortens maintenance time, saves billions of VND each year, ensures absolute safety for workers and minimizes environmental risks. This success not only affirms PVMR's creative capacity, but also opens up the direction of commercialization and wide application in many other industries such as chemicals, food, wastewater treatment – turning an internal initiative into a valuable export product.
At the same time, PVMR promotes extensive digital transformation: building a synchronous management information system from the parent company to member units, supporting quick decision making, monitoring progress and evaluating immediate effectiveness.
In terms of organization, PVMR streamlines its apparatus, decentralizes reasonably, applies digital assessment tools, and at the same time strengthens inspection, supervision, and risk management, ensuring flexible but disciplined operations.

Building human resources, expanding customer base
Faced with the increasing demands of the market, PVMR has implemented a diversified commercial strategy: maintaining traditional customers while expanding new customer bases in the fields of electricity, processing industry, and renewable energy. Service pricing policies are built flexibly, prioritizing long-term, package contracts; customer care and technical after-sales systems are upgraded, taking added value and satisfaction as measures of success.
In particular, PVMR invests in facilities to serve new markets: mobile maintenance centers, warehouse systems, logistics for the economic regions of the South and the Central Highlands, ready to meet all service requirements.
Human resources are always the key to help PVMR go far. The Corporation implements international title standards for technical staff, appraisers, inspectors; cooperates with domestic and foreign training schools to build a team of highly qualified personnel, good foreign language skills, and technology mastery.
Remuneration policy is adjusted to be competitive, linking work efficiency with income, in parallel with attracting and retaining experts and engineers with international experience. In addition, PVMR continues to promote "Regenerating PVMR Culture" - so that each officer, engineer and worker is not only good at their job but also proud to carry within themselves the values of Petrovietnam: discipline, creativity, dedication to the common goal.
